My GP sent a referral to Dr William Robb. This moment changed my life forever! From my first appointment in September 2021, Dr Robb and his team were amazing! From talking to Dr Robb, Emer, Niamh and the dietician team to Dr Robb’s secretary Deborah, I was made feel so comfortable and supported. The aftercare of surgery was just phenomenal… my experience from start to finish was next to none! I cannot recommend Dr Robb and his team enough! I am now living my life instead of just existing in it!

I had struggled with my weight since I was a teenager. My GP and an endocrinologist both recommended Mr William Robb. Eleven months after my gastric bypass and I have lost over 9 stone! Caring for my 5-year-old son has become much easier. I am off all medication that I had been on before the operation. I’ve gone from a size 24/26 to a size 14 and I can now buy clothes I like as opposed to buying what is in my size.

I first saw Mr Robb in August 2017 and I immediately got a very good feeling from him. He explained the different types of bariatric surgery available to me and which one he thought would be most effective based on my history. I found the multidisciplinary approach very good and it helped me to make an informed decision about going forward and having the surgery. The surgery has given me a new outlook on life and most importantly I am able to do activities with my 5-year-old son that I could not do before bariatric surgery.

On my 51st Birthday, I weighed 144kg, that’s 22stone 6lbs. A BMI of 46. I was developing blood pressure issues and was borderline diabetic. Having been introduced to some former triple XLs abroad I secured a consultation with William Robb. He was informative, gentle and refreshingly non-judgemental. He also informed me that the operation could be covered by my VHI plan. Nine months after surgery I had lost 9 stone, 39% of my body weight and my BMI was 28. This operation saved my life.
