I had a roux en y procedure in Blackrock Clinic by Mr Robb in April 2023. I can honestly say the whole team were amazing. I had slight complications after surgery with my diabetes was very up and down but they looked after me well and I trusted them completely.
Nearly 2 years later and I’ve lost around 8 stone but more importantly, my life has completely changed. I’m almost 62 years of age and I’m fitter now than I was in my 30s, 40s and 50s. I’ve just signed up to do this years womens mini marathon (walking as have a dodgy knee). I wouldn’t have even been able to do half of that before. I’ve reversed my diabetes. I do Zumba, dance yourself fit and walk so fast now my husband has to keep up with me rather than lagging behind.
If anyone thinks they are too old, it’s never too late to change your life for the better.
